May we live happily ever a…ntil the next one comes around.

I always need a portfolio.

My job title has been a work in progress forever. I've tried designer, learning experience designer, creative technologist and curriculum designer, but I'm also simply a product designer, or educational product designer that ends up coding in various languages and often handling audio, photo, and video editing and production, graphic design and even web development from spreadsheet, database, and API wrangling to wordpress and eshop frontends.

The point is, I need a portfolio.

And yet, every time I come to a crossroads in my project-driven career, I realize I don't have a presentable portfolio.

Search for Simplicisity

Tired after years of self-hosted Wordpresses and slick, but limited SAAS offerings, I finally had a taste markdown-driven Jekyll over Github pages ❤️, and I knew I found the backbone for my next portfolio, this one.

It come with a Twist:

Jekyll is amazing, but it's a bit clunky and slow and blog-heavy. For some reason I can't even recall, I got a feeling the cool kids are using Hugo.

What self-respected fan of tangents and last-minute pivots would resist?
